Radon System Repair in Colorado Springs
Diagnosis and repair of existing mitigation systems, including fan replacement and failed seals.
A radon system only works while the fan runs
The fan is the part that does the job. It runs around the clock and holds a vacuum under your slab. When it quits, the vacuum drops and the soil gas comes back. In a Zone 1 county like El Paso, a home leaning on a dead system can climb back to where it started.
The manometer on the pipe is your gauge. It is the small U-shaped tube with colored fluid. If both sides sit level, the fan is not pulling. That is the first thing to check.
Fan replacement and repair
Fans wear out, usually after several years of continuous running. We match the replacement to the vacuum your system needs, not just the cheapest unit that fits the pipe. Cracked pipe joints, failed seals at the suction point, and routing that never met spec get fixed at the same time.
Licensed work, verified by a retest
Colorado requires a state mitigation license to work on these systems, in place
since July 1, 2022. After a repair we retest the house against 4.0 pCi/L
and show you the reading, so you know the fix took. (719) 992-5845 if your fan
is quiet or your manometer reads level.
